Temple Square Trip

We decided to take a trip to Salt Lake and Temple Square as our last activity of the summer. While we were at Temple Square we saw the Temple, the movie "The Testatments" (which was excellent) and we visited the Church Museum of History. We had fun and learned a little about Church history too.

8.05 - Here we are in front of the Church Office Building. They turned on the fountains just for our picture (not really). Posted by Picasa

Rad Kids

7.05 - This is Perry my Deputy County Attorney. Perry has taken on the responsibilty to try and get a Rad Kids program going in our elementary schools. Rad Kids stands for Resist Aggression Defensively. During the 10 hour class, kids learn how to avoid abductors, escape abductors as well as many other safety skills. The program is great and really has the potential to educate kids to avoid many dangerous situations. Perry and several police officers were able to teach this class to many of the 4th and 6th graders last year. Perry and his wife offered the class this summer to the children of some of the county employees. Our kids had a blast and learned alot too! Posted by Picasa

7.4.05 - While Jordan and Adam were playing catch on the 4th of July, Jordan got hit on the cheek with the softball. The softball took a patch of skin off Jordan's cheek and left him with a little bit of a black eye. I think the injury has pretty well healed now and Jordan is no worse for the wear. Posted by Picasa

4th of July

We returned from Kansas on the evening of the 3rd and bright and early the next day we got up and headed to Moroni to celebrate the 4th of July. We had alot of fun on the 4th of July. In the morning we ate breakfast at the park, then we watched a parade, after the parade the kids enjoyed a carnival and then in the evening we enjoyed the fireworks. Overall, we had an enjoyable day, however, we did have one mishap that put a damper on things. Jordan and Adam were playing catch while we were waiting to watch fireworks and Jordan tried to catch a softball with his cheek. There is a picture and some more details above (I still am not very good about getting things in order on this blog).
